Life Support at the Portsea Polo
Wednesday 18 Jan 2017
The Alfred would like to thank the Life Support Committee and their generous guests for yet another memorable year at the Portsea Polo.
The Life Support Committee was formed 14 years ago when a group of dynamic young professionals decided to unite in an effort to help minimise the devastating impact of trauma on the Victorian community.
Having raised over $1 million towards the purchase of life-saving equipment for The Alfred, the group this month continued its annual involvement with the much-anticipated Portsea Polo – again hosting an exclusive fundraiser at the one the biggest, and most glamorous days on Melbourne’s social calendar.
With generous support from NAB, this year’s marquee drew on a ‘magnifique’ Parisian theme and treated guests to an unforgettable afternoon set against the iconic backdrop of the Mornington Peninsula’s Point Nepean National Park. Showing off their summer style, guests enjoyed delicious food and bubbles, knowing that their ticket price would go towards supporting critical care at The Alfred.
The beautiful coastal region turned on the charm and provided revellers with a truly Melbourne day, weather-wise. However, despite a smattering of rain, nothing was enough to dampen the spirits of all the guests in attendance.
