In Memory Giving
Honour the memory of someone special
As you reflect on the life and legacy of your loved one, please consider asking family and friends to make a donation to The Alfred in their honour. It is a powerful way to keep their memory alive and continue to make a positive difference in their name.
A special way to commemorate the life of a loved one when they pass away is by offering friends and family the opportunity to make a donation to The Alfred rather than give flowers to celebrate their life. Their gifts will be used to support the vital work of The Alfred.
With a little notice special in memory donation envelopes can be made available at a funeral, wake, church or other commemorative service allowing people to make a donation. Donations can be directed to specific areas within the hospital, allowing you to support the area which cared for your loved one.
Most funeral directors will help you collect donations in lieu of flowers. Many may already have available our donation envelopes. If not, you can request them to be sent out by contacting our fundraising department on 03 9076 3222 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Donations over $2 are tax deductible and a tax receipt and thank you letter will be given for each gift made.
An acknowledgement letter will also be sent to the family or next of kin, which includes the names of those who have made a commemorative donation.
Alternatively, you could set up your own online tribute page. You can share your tribute page with family, friend and colleagues via email and social media. Donations are displayed directly on the tribute page, along with any messages of love and support. Set up your tribute page here.
A gift made in memory is a very special way of helping the thousands of people needing treatment and care at The Alfred now and into the future.
Our thoughts are with you at your time of loss, as well as our deepest gratitude for your decision to contribute to The Alfred this way. Thank you!
